Slug related fatalities?

Slow day at the office,Po?

I love hearing what they do at my husband’s work when there is a little down time.  They work hard and consequently need to act like adolescent boys in a locker room, I mean blow off some steam.  This often involves photo shopping someone’s head onto a farm animal, changing deserving coworker’s GPS to only speak German, or daily adding pieces of scotch tape inside unsuspecting coworker’s phone receiver so said coworker thinks he is progressively going deaf.

But he has been pretty busy lately.  You know, with actual work.  Yesterday they only had time for a philosophical debate about whether or not anyone had ever choked to death on a slug.  Yup, you heard right. A slug.  My husband was on the “Pro” side of this debate.  One of the reasons I love him, he is always the optimist!    Certainly, he thought, this has not only occured, but has been documented AND photographed by some whack job with a camera and too much free time, or rather, a hard hitting photojournalist.  Turns out he was wrong.  At least as far as I am concerned.  I have wasted WAY too much time Googling “choked to death on a slug”, “slug-related death”, etc.  I am here to tell you that Pumpkin Pie and I saw all kinds of things that neither of us should have seen.

Thanks for making me this suit, Gramma. I think slugs are an under-used mascot.

Hubby insisted that he found a story about a goose that choked to death on a slug.  Of course he promptly printed this story and gave to ridiculously uninformed coworker.  How nice.

One thing I found while Googling “choking” and “slug”that might spark a hearty debate in his office was this:

And this beauty is available in a collectible commemorative diorama.  Order an extra for your coworker.  You can leave it in his car when you park it by the river while he is in that budget meeting.

About Adventures From Cloud 8

I am a stay at home mom who now and again sneaks away to be an in-home family therapist. My husband and I have 3 boys: Sweet Pea (12), Pickles (9) and Pumpkin Pie (4). Oh yeah. We have Doodle Dog, too. You guessed it! He’s a boy. At least he pees outside.
