Pickles and the Staples

I didn't get any cake. And Sweet Pea took all my staples.

Pickles wanted his awesome fuzziest-blanket-on-the-planet on his bed yesterday and when I took his sheets off, I was very surprised by what I saw.  Staples!  Lots and lots of staples.  Was Pickles doing some late night collating?  It turns out that Sweet Pea decided to conduct some bizarre Princess and the Pea style experiment on Pickles.  He put a bunch of staples in his bed the night before and then asked him how he slept the next morning.  You know, to see if he noticed.  Staples.  In his bed.  A LOT of staples, too.  They are all stuck in the blankets and carpet now.  I also noticed they are ALL OVER Sweet Pea’s floor.  This was one wacky stapling binge.  Sweet Pea is going away on a school trip for a few days, I wonder if I will Pickles will seek revenge…

Staples on the floor, staples in the bed, staples in the carpet, staples in my head...

About Adventures From Cloud 8

I am a stay at home mom who now and again sneaks away to be an in-home family therapist. My husband and I have 3 boys: Sweet Pea (12), Pickles (9) and Pumpkin Pie (4). Oh yeah. We have Doodle Dog, too. You guessed it! He’s a boy. At least he pees outside.

Of ALL the weird things I imagined about what having kids might be like someday, I honestly did not consider staples in the bed. I consider myself enlightened now! (namely, that kids are BONKERS and do weird, hilarious stuff on the regular)
