Professional Wardrobe Choices

I had to take Pumpkin Pie with me to my office to drop off some paperwork today and you won’t believe what he wore.  Wait for it…  A matching outfit!   But, there’s more…

Last night we laid out jeans, a long-sleeved grey shirt and a matching striped sweater.  This was a new tactic we are trying to increase the likelihood that he will not have put on an outfit that doesn’t clash enough to make my eyes bleed.  When I first saw him this morning, he had on the grey t-shirt, the striped sweater, and his new gorilla costume.  I

I hope you are wearing shin guards, buddy, because here I come to give you a kick!

thought he had the jeans on underneath, but he actually had on shorts.  Easy enough to remedy, he doesn’t like jeans because he has to unbutton and unzip to use the bathroom and then he isn’t able to re-button and re-zip.  I can’t really argue with that, so we found some nice dark blue pants that matched the shirt and sweater and were easy on/easy off.  So now the outfit is as follows:  matching top and bottom with a gorilla suit over top.  Is that enough?  Certainly not!  Pumpkin Pie added his shin guards (in case there is a gorilla attack?) and Chuck Taylors.  And that is how I strolled into work with Pumpkin Pie in tow today.  They think I am insane and I am sure they can’t figure out how I ever got a job there.  My secret?  Get hired before you have children.  I am dug in like a tick.
