Sunday Smackdown: The SMS Poke Her Face vs The Hooligans

This is what happens when your mom is a total Pop Culture reject.  The first time I heard of Lady Gaga was on Glee.  Evidently Glee is the extent of my pop culture knowledge.  The Shorties and I watched the big Gaga Glee number lots of times, but I didn’t even know that the Poker Face song was Gaga’s.  Or that it was a little raunchy in real life.  Yeah, I know, I live under a rock.  Pickles came home from school with the following joke:

Oh, Gaga. You have made Pumpkin Pie so happy while he sings your song.

Pickles: How do you wake up Lady Gaga?

Me: I dunno, how?

Pickles: (singing) Puh puh puh poke her face.  Puh puh poke her face.

Me: Oh.  (mild attempt at fake laughter)

Pumpkin Pie RAN with this because what is funnier than the idea of poking someone in the face?   Why, poking a GIRL in the face, of course!  Giddyup!

He has been battling with his pointy spaceship (that he named the SMS Poke Her Face) against some little imaginary evil dudes called mooliguhs (translation: Hooligans) all the while singing Lady Gaga.  I bet you can guess what the spaceship does to the Hooligans…  Pokes them in the face.  Duh.  It also pokes their eyes out.  He is such a sensitive child.  Thanks, Gaga for the inspiration.

About Adventures From Cloud 8

I am a stay at home mom who now and again sneaks away to be an in-home family therapist. My husband and I have 3 boys: Sweet Pea (12), Pickles (9) and Pumpkin Pie (4). Oh yeah. We have Doodle Dog, too. You guessed it! He’s a boy. At least he pees outside.
