The Submarine Preschool made a huge paper turkey for Thanksgiving and hung it on the wall outside Pumpkin Pie’s classroom. It said on it, “I am thankful for…” in big letters in the middle of the turkey. Each tail feather was a different color and had each child’s name on it.
Evidently they asked each kid what they were thankful for and wrote their answers on the turkey’s tail feathers. There were some really sweet answers like, “…when my brother plays with me” or “…a turkey dinner” or “my grandparents”. There, in bold black letters was Pumpkin Pie’s answer. When asked, for posterity, what he is thankful for, Pumpkin Pie responded that he is thankful for his robotic bird feeder. Awesome.
I am thankful for Pumpkin Pie. And Pickles and Sweet Pea and Husband and Doodle Dog and Mamaw and Dat and Nan and Grandpa and all of the rest of the Mulder family. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!! xoxoxo
