At our house, the radio is always on in the kitchen. It reminds me of my Gramma and it is the way I have always done it. We are lucky enough to have a public radio station that plays awesome music commercial free (It is 88.5 WXPN and you can listen over the internet by clicking here). Husband and Sweet Pea were downstairs having breakfast alone recently which is an unusual occurrence b/c usually we are all in the kitchen at once and it is chaos. So they were enjoying some light breakfast conversation when the NPR news comes on the radio. They were talking about a sting operation where the FBI caught the jackhole Somali guy who as part of a jihad, tried to blow up a Christmas tree lighting celebration in Portland, Oregon.
Sweet Pea: I thought they just said Violent Teen Hotties tried to attack a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Husband: I think they said violent jihadists.
Sweet Pea: Well, violent teen hotties might catch some people, too.
Husband: I guess it depends on who they were trying to catch.
(BTW- I am totally getting on another government watch list for all the jihad googling I did for this. And NEVER google “teen hotties” with your kid over your shoulder. Duh.)
